The Face behind the Flowers

That would be me - Vanessa Miller, otherwise known as Muuuuuum, The Mrs or Ness.

I'm the one-woman show behind the scenes here at The Wooden Garden.

Together with my husband, we have 4 young children and a small farming property on the Darling Downs, South East QLD.

​

My background is graphic design and I adore working in hospitality, but my passion is creating!  I bet you can imagine how much fun I had when planning our own wedding... from the decor to the invitations to the flowers, I made it all which is where this floral journey began for me in 2014!

​

What started as a fun DIY project to create my wedding bouquets soon became the side hustle you see here now.  I call it a side hustle because first and foremost, I'm a stay-at-home Mum and that's the best gig of all!  However, being able to design beautiful pieces for you and your home while raising our kids at ours are what dreams are made of.

I'm what you would call a Wood Floral Florist, not a typical florist... however, I am completing my Certificate III in fresh floristry too!

I've spent countless hours and dollar bucks (thanks Bluey) coming up with original floral designs and sourcing high quality supplies to ensure I'm delivering only the best products for you.  I am meticulous when it comes to the small details and pride myself on excellent customer service.  

 

Each arrangement is designed, painted, made and packed by myself in my home studio and I am so proud and honoured to be able to create unique, eco friendly and everlasting pieces for you and your loved ones.
